GIPC Launches Ghana Club 100 Awards

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has launched the 20th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards, and the inaugural Ghana Investment and Trade Week in collaboration with the MIE Group, Dubai – organizers of the China Trade Week.

Ghana Club 100 Awards since its introduction in 1998 is an annual collation of 100 outstanding companies in the Ghanaian business industry. It aims to celebrate and recognize companies making remarkable strides in their various business sectors.

Addressing dignitaries at the launch, CEO of the GIPC, Yofi Grant indicated the celebration themed “Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana’s Global Market Footprint through AFCFTA,” aims to provide a significant platform for promoting investment, trade, and knowledge exchange.

This celebration will be accompanied by an investment and trade week which will feature exhibitions and an investment summit. The week-long event is a unique partnership that will bring together global focus from key source markets from Asia, the Middle East & Europe to view and discover FDI opportunities in the country.

“As a result of this collaboration with MIE Groups, Ghanaians and Africans will have access to a broader audience of potential investors from around the globe. The event will showcase top Ghana companies and celebrate their achievements. The ultimate goal is for us to forge valuable partnerships and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to accelerate development and economic growth in the country,” he said.

President of Strategy and Partnerships at MIE Groups, Dubai Zahoor Ahmed, Vice also stated that the partnership with GIPC is aimed at making the Ghana Investment and Trade Week summit one of the most influential Pan African Investment promotion platforms.

He added that the summit slated for October 23 to 27 will create an investment-driven environment where high-profile Ghanaian, African, and Global industry personalities will present strategies that will help businesses navigate and tap into some investment opportunities that the country presents.

The Ghana Investment and Trade Week will have a lineup with over 300 exhibitors, 100+ speakers and presentations, and more than 50 workshops.

Founder, and Chairman of MIE Groups Ltd David Wang, on his part shared his excitement to join the GIPC for the maiden Ghana Investment and Trade Week which according to him will be one of the successful investment summits ever to hit the African continent.
