GOIL Consumers Satisfied With Products – Survey Report

A behavioral study of petroleum consumers in Accra conducted by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers, has shown that 51 percent of petroleum consumers surveyed were satisfied with petroleum products from GOIL.

The survey report revealed that GOIL was followed by Vivo (Shell) with 26 percent and Total Ghana Limited with 23 percent.

It said GOIL had more than half of the respondents being satisfied with the quality of its petroleum products.

The survey report was titled: Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Preference and Choice Making Among OMCs: A Behavioral Study of Petroleum Consumers In Accra Metropolis.

According to the report,
the survey also elicited the perception of petroleum consumers based on their satisfaction regarding the quantity of petroleum products from OMCs.

The consumers were surveyed on the perception of the time spent at 15 OMCs conveniently selected in the Greater Accra area, it said.

On perception about the swift response time, it stated that 25.45% of the respondents chose Allied, 15.20% chose Zen and 14.49% chose Goodness.

The OMCs with least perceived response time are Top Oil (0.95%), Radiance Petroleum and So Energy (1.43%) and SEL (1.65%). This means that most respondents perceived Allied, Zen and Goodness to deliver their services within the shortest possible time compared to other OMCs in their category, the report noted.

It added that on perception about satisfaction based on quality, 24.82% of the respondents chose Allied, 15.51% chose Zen and 14.32% chose Goodness.

“The OMCs with least perceived satisfaction based on quality are SEL and Power Oil (0.24%), Top Oil (0.95%), Radiance Petroleum and So Energy (1.43%) and Glory Oil (1.91%). This means that most respondents are satisfied with the quality of fuel sold by Allied, Zen and Goodness compared to other OMCs in their category.”
