The Week eleven of the Ghana Premier League started on Saturday with top of the table clash between Aduana Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Kotoko went into the match as wounded Lions after been dumbed out the MTN FA Cup by King Faisal in Kumasi.
They recorded their first-ever win in Dormaa in 11years after beating Aduana Stars by two goals to bill. Richmond Lamptey and George Mfegue were the goal scorers.
On Sunday, Hearts of Oak welcomed Bechem United at the Accra Stadium. Both teams couldn’t make good use of the chances that come their way and it all ended goalless.
Kotoko Killers King Faisal hosted Bibiani Gold Stars at Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium where they beat them by two goals to one. Baba Yahaya and Zubairu Ibrahim scored the goals for the home and Kamara Charles got the consolation goal for the away side.
At Tamale Sports Stadium, Real Tamale United (RTU) played out two all draw. Ronald Frimpong and Stephen Danquah Badu got the goals for RTU. While Huzif Ali and Issah Ibrahim were the scorers for Dream FC.
Karela United FC were the biggest winners of the day, recording a 4-2 win over Techiman Eleven Wonders with goals from Samuel Atta Kumi, Richard Berko (2) and Umar Bashiru with Ibrahim Laar scoring for the Techiman-based club.
A Justus Torsutsey penalty and Sampson Agyapong second-half strike ensured WAFA secured all three points, beating Elmina Sharks 2-0 in Sogakope.
On Monday, Ashgold will lolck horns with Medeama SC, Berekum Chelsea and Great Olympics will battle it out, and a local derby between new boys Accra Lions and Legon Cities.
