Officials on high table pose after the launch
This year’s Happy FM-Marina Park Family Fun Run will be held across four cities on March 6, organisers have said.
The annual event, which was launched yesterday in Accra, is set to take off at the Lakeside Marina Park, Ashaley Botwe, and it will be held concurrently in Takoradi, Kumasi and Tamale.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company, Ernest Boateng, said “The main aim behind the annual Family Fun Run is to provide a good opportunity for families, individuals and students to exercise and network.”
He encouraged all Happy FM listeners and the general public to participate in the event.
The Director of Lakeside Estate, Salah Kweku Kalmoni, disclosed that as part of the new initiatives to be introduced this year, the Family Fun Run will be held across four cities at the various Silver Star offices in the country.
To him, the event is aimed at bringing together families, individuals and schools to promote a healthy lifestyle and celebrate Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day through physical exercises.
“The Lakeside Marina/Happy FM Family Fun Run is a family event held annually on the Independence Day to encourage healthy living among Ghanaians,” he told the media.
Frederick Kissie, the park manager for Lakeside Estate, also graced the launch.
