A HOLLAND-based Ghanaian young man has been cruelly murdered by a group of unknown people at Aputuogya near Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
Bernard Boateng, nicknamed BB, was seen lying dead by the roadside with a deep cut on his forehead, an indication that perhaps he was killed through mob action.
His death, which was believed to have occurred on the dawn of Monday, attracted a sizeable number of people, who trooped to the crime scene and openly shed tears.
BB, 26 years old, was seen lying on the floor with his hand and legs tied with a rope. Even though there was a cut on his forehead, there were no blood stains on the floor.
This has sparked suspicion that perhaps he was killed somewhere and his body was dumped in the area by his killers in order to escape arrest.
The body has since been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death as police have commenced investigations to arrest his killers.
A sister of the deceased, Adwubi Boateng, amid sobs, said her brother lived in Holland and that he returned to the country on December 5, 2021 to celebrate Christmas.
She said her brother had visited his friends at Aputuogya and the next day, which was Monday, they gathered that BB had been killed and his body dumped by the roadside.
According to her, BB was supposed to return to his Holland base on January 17, 2022 but it was not to be as he had been murdered by some fiendish people.
Meanwhile, the paper learnt that BB and his friends were reportedly gulping some drinks on Sunday evening when BB, who was only wearing boxer shorts, left the house.
BB was not returning to the house so after some hours, his friends decided to search for him outside but he was nowhere to be found, sparking fear and panic.
After the search had proved futile, surprisingly, BB’s friends went to bed without reporting his missing case to the police, until the discovery of the dead body the next day.
