Housing Minister To Speak At PMI Conference

GHANA’S Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye will be speaking at the annual Project Management Institute (PMI) Africa Conference scheduled to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, organisers have announced.

The event, organised by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a leading professional organisation for project management, and the authority for a growing global community of millions of project professionals, will be hosted at the Emara Ole Sereni, Nairobi, Kenya, between September 10 – 12, 2023.

Aimed at driving thoughtful and constructive dialogue on the role of the project economy in Africa, the conference promises to be the continent’s largest and most impactful gathering of project professionals with an expected attendance of about 500 delegates comprising of influential PMOs, project leaders, practitioners, youth, and governments from the continent to elevate the project management landscape.

Themed, “The Africa We Want: Together We Can,” the conference has a packed agenda with high-level experts addressing emerging and engaging topics that will shed light on some of the latest trends in the project management space including topicsranging from the continent’s skills gaps; the role of project managers in delivering ‘Agenda 2063’; the role of women and youth in driving Africa’s future; and mainstreaming project management in the public sector.

Joining Mr. Asenso-Boakye will be corporate and civil society luminaires from Ghana which include Samuel Dubik Masubir Mahama, Managing Director (MD) of Electrical Company of Ghana; Dr. Martin Morgan Tuuli, Deputy Rector and Professor, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Director, PMI Global Accreditation Center; Sydney Scott SamCEO, Workspace Global; Frank Owusu-Asamoah, President PMI Ghana Chapter; and Emmanuel Gamor, Senior Manager, MTN Ghana.
