I Am Not Dead – Actress Victoria Mensah

Victoria Mensah

Kumawood actress Victoria Mensah, known popularly as Bono Hemaa, has reacted to rumours that she died in a motor accident.

She disclosed that she is, indeed, alive ? and she is not the lady who died in the reported accident.

Early week reports revealed that one Kumawood actress called Victoria Fosua, otherwise known as Nana Yaa, was killed in a motor accident at Nsuatere off Berekum-Sunyani road on Saturday.

According to Adom FM, the 43-year-old actress was allegedly knocked down by a Hyundai taxi while she was riding a motorbike.

Augustine Boateng, who was identified as the brother of the deceased, confirmed the sad incident on Adom FM.

However, when reports of the unfortunate news went viral, many had mistaken her identity for that of Victoria Mensah, who is also an actress.

“My greetings to all my fans and to all Ghanaians. Please my name is Victoria Mensah. Many people know me as Bono Hemaa. Yesterday afternoon I had information that people sharing images and videos on social media that Bono Hemaa who is a Kumawood actress had a motor accident at Berekum. Please it is not true. I don’t even sit on motorbike let alone riding it myself . Our sister who the accident is about is mostly known as Nana Yaa. Her real name is Victoria Fosua but she is not called Bono Hemaa. I don’t know if she is an actress but I saw she did a video about coronavirus and she was in a music video by a certain Alhaji. But I don’t know if she is an actress. So I am begging those of you sharing my pictures and my videos with RIP, please it is not true. Bono Hemaa, I am alive,” Victoria Mensah set the record straight in a video on Facebook.
