Ace presenter Abeiku Santana has responded to an allegation connecting him to the death of his four-year-old daughter, Nana Aba Aggrey.
According to him, he didn’t kill his daughter for rituals as being speculated and also dropped hints about going to court to clear his name.
Online reports early this week quoted one Prince Williams, a rumoured ex-boyfriend of Afia Schwarzenegger, for alleging on Asempa FM that he was told that Abeiku Santana killed his daughter for rituals.
But in a rejoinder, the renowned presenter described the claim as “untrue, malicious, capricious and fabricated lies aimed at tarnishing my hard earned reputation, credibility and persona.”
“My lovely daughter, Nana Aba Aggrey, died at age 4 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on June 7 whiles (sic) undergoing surgery. Her death was such heartbreaking for a parent to live with and therefore comes as shocking for any well thinking individual to allege I used my daughter for rituals,” he said.
“This is not the first time such wild allegations have been made and I wish to inform you that the right authorities have been informed to pick up the matter and bring to book the perpetrator of this evil plot,” he also added.
Nana Aba Aggrey died in 2010 and reports at the time indicated that she died while she was undergoing a surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The father told the media at the time during her burial at the Awudome Cemetery that he refused post-mortem on her body.
“I am not interested in any post-mortem to find out what killed her; we have gone through a lot of processes and official procedures of court and so on. I don’t need that. I just gave it to God, God loves children so if God has taken my daughter that is okey with me,” he stated.
Prior to her untimely death, Nana Aba Aggrey was becoming famous for appearing in a Pure Milk TV commercial. She was the young girl in the advert who popped up the controversial question ‘Does Daddy Know He Is Here?’ in a bit to bait her sister who brought her boyfriend home to give her Pure Milk or she will report them to her daddy.
The advert became very controversial at the time Nana Aba Aggrey was becoming popular, but unfortunately, she didn’t live long to enjoy her fame.
However, eight years after her demise, she is back in the headlines.
