Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer, has firmly denied ever knowing her husband’s ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, dismissing long-standing claims that she was once her best friend.
The actress clarified in a new Instagram video on Wednesday, responding to viral social media reports alleging that she “snatched” Olakunle Churchill from Tonto Dikeh, who was reportedly her close friend.
The controversy dates back to 2017 when Churchill was accused of cheating on Tonto Dikeh.
“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of best friend. I have never met her. I have never seen her. She doesn’t have my number, I don’t have her number,” she said.
She also pushed back at claims that Tonto introduced her to Churchill.
“I have read comments that I was her best friend or that she introduced me to her husband and I snatched him, but it’s not true. If anyone has proof otherwise, I dare you to bring it out,” she added.
According to reports, Rosie Meurer married Churchill in 2021, three years after his highly publicised split from Tonto Dikeh.
Tonto and Churchill tied the knot in August 2015 and welcomed their son in February 2016. Their marriage ended in a messy divorce in July 2017 amid allegations of domestic violence and infidelity.
Rosie Meurer, who had largely remained silent since marrying Churchill, said she decided to speak out “just this one time” to set the record straight, blaming bloggers and what she described as “gullible followers” for spreading false narratives online.
