Singer Iona Reine has confirmed the end of her marriage to Pastor Nana Kwame Okrah, but says she remains open to marriage.
Iona married the pastor in January 2024, and disclosed that the union lasted two years before it ended.
Speaking to Nana Romeo on Okay FM, she said she would marry again, even if it took 10 marriages to find the right man.
“I will marry again and in fact, I will marry as many, even if it means marrying 10 times to find the right man,” she said.
Iona said her experience has shown her that there is no guaranteed formula for a lasting marriage. She noted that even couples who spend years together, pray and carefully study their partners before marriage can still end up divorcing.
The singer declined to disclose the specific reasons for the collapse of her marriage, describing the matter as private.
She also revealed that she continues to wear her wedding ring to discourage unwanted advances from men.
“I’m still wearing my ring to protect me from certain scorpions so that when they see me in town, they won’t bother to approach me,” she said.
