Nollywood actor, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IK Ogbonna, has made a surprising revelation about the women he ever dated.
In a recent episode of the Petite Talks podcast, the handsome actor boldly claimed that he has never asked a lady out in his entire life, despite his charming demeanor.
Although IK Ogbonna was previously married to Sonia Morales, and the couple’s marriage came to an end in 2019, the actor insisted that he had never initiated a romantic relationship with a woman through traditional courting or “toasting.”
In his candid statement during the podcast, the actor said, “As funny as it may sound, I’ve never toasted a girl in my life. I don’t know how to do it. It’s not about being a fine boy.” He went on to explain that most of his relationships had a unique starting point – friendship.
“I think I grew up around people. I had so many female friends at the same time. And most of my relationships always started from friendship. We are friends, we start liking ourselves. It entered relationships,” Ogbonna added, highlighting that his romantic pursuits usually evolved naturally from existing friendships.
However, the actor did concede that there was a touch of playful flirting involved in his connection with his ex-wife, Sonia Morales. He admitted to engaging in some light-hearted online banter with Morales before they transitioned from being acquaintances to friends and eventually a couple.
