Kalybos. INSET: The damaged car
Actor Kalybos, born Richard Asante, on Tuesday morning was involved in a car accident while travelling to Kumasi.
He was on his way to the Ashanti Region with his personal assistant, who has only been named as Julius, for an upcoming premiere of his latest movie titled ‘2 Pilots’ at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) when the unfortunate incident took place.
A close source told NEWS-ONE that “a Kia truck which was swerving an incoming traffic ran into the driver’s side of the actor’s dodge charger.”
The car was seriously damaged but fortunately, the actor and his PA survived without a scratch.
“No scratch on them. Kalybos is fine. He is super fine,” the source said.
A video of his damaged car was widely circulated on social media on Tuesday.
Hours after reports of his accident, he took to Instagram to thank God for saving their lives.
“I want to borrow the song of Joyce Blessing (I Swerve it). God is the giver of LIFE, no weapon plot against the child of God shall ever prosper or see another attempt. To God be the Glory,” he said on Instagram.
Kalybos is one of Ghana’s talented actors. He had a stint into the movie after playing several roles in skits. Currently, he is one of the most relevant actors around and has a good number of movies to his credit, including the new ‘2 Pilots’ movie.
