The late Lois Abena Koranteng
A former student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was reportedly found unconscious in a swimming pool while on a business trip with her boss and his driver in June this year.
The Petroleum Engineering graduate was said to have checked into a hotel at Anaji near Takoradi, accompanied by her boss and the driver.
The family of the 24-year-old graduate, identified as Lois Abena Koranteng is, therefore, seeking justice following the purported mysterious death of their daughter.
According to information gathered, the deceased, her boss, and the driver lodged into separate rooms in the hotel for a night.
However, on the dawn of June 8, 2024, the body of Lois was found unconscious in the hotel’s swimming pool.
She was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to a relative, George Agyenim Boateng, who confirmed the story in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, an official complaint was lodged at a police station.
He asserted that the autopsy conducted on the deceased’s body evealed that no cuts or blood stains were found on any part of the lifeless body.
It was also gathered that the CCTV cameras in the hotel were mysteriously not functioning and, therefore, could not provide footage of the incident.
“The family is therefore convinced the young graduate was murdered and the body thrown into the pool,” the relative alleged.
Agyenim Boateng revealed that the family is seeking justice and demanding answers due to the circumstances leading to the young woman’s death.
Meanwhile, the police are still investigating the case to unravel the circumstances under which the former KNUST graduate lost her life.
