World Wrestling (WWE) champion, Kofi Kingston, arrived in Accra yesterday for a four-day visit.
DAILY GUIDE SPORTS recently got in touch with her mother, Dr. Elizabeth Sarkodie Mensah, in France, and she spoke about how proud she is of the son.
Kingston was born in Kumasi before he migrated to the United States of America (USA) at a tender age.
A few weeks ago, he caused sensation in World Wrestling (WWE) arena by becoming a world champion in the US.
Speaking with DAILY GUIDE SPORTS in Paris, Kofi Kingston’s mother could not hide her joy over her son’s achievement.
“I am a proud mother because my son has been able to rise to the top of World Wrestling and this is a great achievement. Kofi Kingston believes in hard work and he is also a disciplined person and this has helped him to become a champion today,” she said.
Dr. Elizabeth Mensah also announced that Kofi Kingston would be visiting Ghana for a short visit late this week.
“I will go to Ghana on Tuesday. Kofi Kingston will also arrive in Ghana in May 30 and leave on June 2, this year,” she said.
Meanwhile, the wrestler is in the country for a four-day visit. He called on the Presidency yesterday. He is expected to visit the Osu Castle and attend the Black Stars AFCON farewell dinner today.
