The Kotoka International Airport will reopen on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
President Nana Akufo-Addo made this known in his 16th update on Sunday night August 30, 2020.
He said the reopening is subject to the adherence to some laid down directives.
According to him, passengers arriving in Ghana will be required to provide PCR test result produced within not more than 72 hours before traveling to Ghana.
He added that passengers arriving through the Kotoka International Airport will be made to take Covid-19 test.
The cost of the test will be borne by the travelers.
He directed all airlines to ensure compliance with the directive.
He said any airline that fails to adhere to the directive will be dealt with by the law.
He said the test results will be made available within 30 minutes.
He stated that Children under five will not be made to test for Covid19.
