Kotoko Target Ashgold Players… For Africa

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko is in the market to purchase players to enhance their Africa Confederation Cup campaign.

Head Coach of Kotoko, C.K. Akonnor, gave the hint of Kotoko revamping its squad during a radio interview on Monday.

This was after Kotoko had eliminated Coton Sport of Cameroon to reach the lucrative group stage of the Confederation Cup.

Later on, checks done by DAILY GUIDE SPORTS, have revealed that three attacking players of Ashgold are on Kotoko’s radar.

Already the paper has been able to get two names of the Ashgold players. They are James Akaminko and Dodzie.

Is has been revealed that Ashgold is willing to release the three players to Kotoko for Africa but only on loan basis.

Kotoko management, however, wants to purchase the three players outright and this has prevented a deal, so far.

Other reports said Kotoko is also eyeing some lateral defenders from Aduana Stars and Kalera FC to boost the squad.
