Kotoko Players Pocket $500 Each

Kotoko players in a jubilant mood

ASANTE Kotoko players that made the squad during their 2-1 victory over Coton Sport of Cameroon in Kumasi on Sunday are $500 richer.

Management decided to present the money to the players as a way of rewarding them (players) for living up to expectation and making the club proud.

This news was confirmed by the Kotoko Executive chairman, Professor Kwame Kyei, in an interview on Nhyira FM.

According to him, the Kotoko management was impressed with the positive display of the players on Sunday so they decided to reward them handsomely.

Dr. Kyei said Kotoko’s initial target was to reach the group stage of the Africa Confederation Cup “and I am happy that the players have achieved that”.

He said Kotoko is now targeting the Africa trophy now that they have managed to reach the group stage, saying “With God on our side, we can do it.”

On behalf of the Kotoko management, technical team and players, Dr. Kwame Kyei commended the Kotoko supporters for their amazing support on Sunday.
