Wa Multipurpose Sports Centre 60% Completed

The Wa Multipurpose Sports Centre of Excellence is 60% complete, a facility tour by Isaac Asiamah, Youth and Sports Minister has revealed.

All the four stands have been erected; exhibiting large amount of concrete work, expected to be completed in April.

And responding to what accounted for the quality of work yesterday, the contractor told the media that quality has been his trademark in his work.

“I see no reason I should do a shoddy job; knowing very well that posterity is always the best judge,” said Bin Salih Hadih

The Sports Minister lauded the contractor and Asana Adams, the site engineer for their efficiency and mentioned that completion of the facility will produce more sports stars.

And to the Minister, that (Sports Center) will provide a platform for the youth in the region to exhibit their talents and make them better individuals to their communities and country.

He said “The contractor is on point, I’m glad with what I have seen so far. Talents abound here and as you are aware, sports is a great business venture. When you create more stars, the economy grows and that is what government seeks to achieve with the construction of these multipurpose resource centre of excellence.

” It’s all about priority-the president charged me to provide an avenue for the youth to develop. We will do more with time.”

The Wa facility is one of the ten centres dotted across the country which will house a football field, tartan tracks, volleyball/basketball Courts, ICT/Counselling Centres and a restaurant.
