KiDi and Kuami Eugene

Two Ghanaian afrobeat artistes, KiDi and Kuami Eugene, will headline a musical concert slated to take place at the Indigo at the O2 Arena in London on March 6, 2022.

The event is meant to bring their fans in UK together on one platform, have fun and dance to their favourite tunes that made waves in 2020 and 2021.

KiDi and Kuami Eugene are two of Ghana’s illustrious sons in the music industry who have enjoyed critical and commercial success, less than six years into their music careers.

KiDi and Kuami Eugene, currently on Lynx Entertainment record label, are among the finest afrobeat artistes in Ghana who are doing well in the local music scene.  They are credited with a number of danceable hit songs.

The two acts have quickly established themselves and have found places in the highlife and afrobeats genres.

In what is billed to be a historic performance, the two acts are expected to deliver nonstop high-energy performances that would see them entertain music fans with all the numerous hit songs.

Details of which artiste(s) would be performing alongside KiDi and Kuami Eugene would be made known soon.

The event will serve as a platform for over 10,000 Ghanaians and other African nationals to network and sell Ghana’s music to the rest of the world.

KiDi, who is currently Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Afrobeats Artiste of the Year has released hugely successful singles such as ‘Odo’, ‘Say Cheese’, ‘Enjoyment’ and the 2021 smash hit ‘Touch It’ which went viral on TikTok and spent several weeks on the UK Afrobeats Chart and the Billboard Global Triller Chart.

KiDi has also performed on the same platform with the likes of Sarkodie, Samini, Tiwa Savage, Shatta Wale, Wizkid, Patoranking, among others.

He has also written for Ghanaian acts including the award-winning MzVee and Adina, and has collaborated with artistes such as TiC, Ko-Jo Cue, Magnom and Kwesi Arthur.

KiDi shot to prominence in 2017 when he released ‘Say You Love Me’, a song he not only composed but also arranged and produced. He established himself as a star in Ghana when he released another chart-topper titled ‘Odo’ in July 2017 with the remix with Nigerian artistes Davido and Mayorkun in December 2017, and ‘Adiepena’ in April 2018.

Kuami Eugene is a four-time Highlife Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). He also won the ultimate slot (Artiste of the Year) at the 2020 VGMA.

He is known for hit songs such as ‘Angela’, ‘Confusion’, ‘Wish Me Well’, ‘Open Gate’ ‘Obiaato’, ‘Show Body’, ‘Aku Shika’, ‘Turn Up’, among others and is currently enjoying a lot of success with his massive collaborations such as ‘Happy Day’ (with Sarkodie) and ‘Love Nwantiti’ remix (with Ckay and Joeboy).
