Kwabena Kwabena
Kwabena Kwabena has disclosed that this year’s edition of his annual charity concert dubbed ‘Save A Life Charity Concert’ will be held in Takoradi in the Western Region in September this year.
In an interview with Citi TV’s Kojo Akoto Boateng on Saturday Live, the highlife musician disclosed that for the past years, he has been organising concerts to support children with heart-related diseases.
The event is being organised by Kwabena Kwabena’s Save A Life Foundation to raise funds to assist children with heart diseases.
Part of the proceeds from the concert will also be donated to the Korle-Bu Cardiothoracic Centre to relieve the pressure and constraints of not being able to carry out surgeries for its patients due to lack of funds from patients.
Kwabena Kwabena revealed that after the 2017 charity concert held in Accra, the foundation sent four patients to Israel for heart surgery, in collaboration with the Israeli Embassy.
The foundation also seeks to raise awareness of the increasing pressure on the centre and the number of patients who are just waiting to die with no one to lend a helping hand.
The highlife musician added that they are currently preparing for this year’s edition of the event, which he assured, would be more successful than it was in the previous year.
