The Connecticut branch of the Kwahuman Association in the United States of America (USA) has donated assorted medical equipment to the Obomeng Community Clinic in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.

The donation which was under the presidency of Derrick Mintah was done last week through their branch organising secretary, Festus Nana Acheampong, and their representative in Ghana, Nana Wiafe Kumnipa, former president of Kwahuman Association (New York /New Jersey).

The medical paraphernalia consisted of beds, wheel chairs and other disposables.

Royal Aduana Abusuapanin Barima Osei Berko received the donations on behalf of Obomenghene Nana Effah Opinaman III for onward presentation to the clinic and thanked the donors for their support.

He also urged other philanthropists to emulate the selfless gesture of Obomeng citizens in Connecticut and appealed to the citizens and friends of Obomeng both home and abroad to help effectively equip the newly renovated clinic so as to make the purpose of the renovation fully realised.

The clinic had been sponsored by Richard Oppong Ansong (Kaakyire or Wadaada) and it was commissioned during the just-ended Easter festivities.
