Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri and Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has indicated that the 2024 presidential election will certainly be an affair between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Mahama.
According to him, the former President, Mr. Mahama cannot be effective and robust to build the country but only Dr. Bawumia can rescue Ghana.
In a post on his Twitter handle, the MP distinguishes Vice President Bawumia and former President John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 general elections, by stating that “It will certainly be between BMW. (our hope): and JM (The spent force)!”
Annoh Dompreh added that “Dr. Bawumia “is a gift to this Nation, let’s not take it for granted. Do away with your ‘Hatred’ for h… He will rescue us, certainly. Dr.Bawumia, ever proud of him.”
Although the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are yet to elect their torchbearers for the 2024 presidential election, Frank Annoh-Dompreh said that the party will certainly elect the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the flag bearer.
On the side of the NPP, at least, four stalwarts have declared their interest to be the flagbearer of the party.
They are former Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen, Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and Former Minister of Food and Agriculture. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia is yet to publicly declare his intention but he is most likely to contest.
