Mahama Steals Gov’t Campaign Slogan

Former President John Dramani Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has been accused by members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of allegedly stealing the government campaign slogan dubbed BuildingGhanaTogether.

Mr. Mahama is launching his presidential campaign in Ho today in his bid to lead the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He is seen in a portrait picture with the hashtag that the ruling party has raised concerns over it.
Former President Mahama’s theme for his campaign launch is ‘Building Ghana we want together’.

According to some NPP members who have raised concerns over the alleged view of the former President for stealing the intellectual property of the government, Mr. Mahama not only appears to be incompetent but also has become an expert in plagiarism.

A Counsel to President, Akufo-Addo, Kow Essuman in a post on his Twitter page said the hashtag #BuildingGhanaTogether was coined by this government when COVID-19 struck, but Mr. Mahama has stolen the hashtag as the theme for his campaign launch.

Some of the members of the party questioned “How can a former president who seeks to lead his party once again to be considered for the flagbearer position go to this extend of stealing a hashtag coined and adopted by his political opponents?”.

“This tells us that Mahama is just an old bottle with a new wine stolen from political opponents. He has no new ideas just like he led the country into an abyss when there was no global pandemic or a war involving two economic powerhouses” an NPP Activist, P.K Sarpong posted on Facebook.

He called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to be concerned about the blatant violation of academic ethics by John Mahama.
