I Make Top Boxers Ordinary …Game Boy

Elated Tagoe with his title after the win

Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe has attributed his easy wins over his opponents to his ability to make grade A boxers look like C.

His attribution was in response to some fans’ claim that his invincibility because he fights substandard opponents.

Game Boy stated that his mastery in antics and his ability to outwit his opponents makes his fights look as though they are easy.

He said “It is not as if my opponents are easy o, it is because I make grade A boxers look like C that is why people say I fight easy boxers.

“I don’t know why the fans are questioning the referees decision, I was on the verge of killing the boxer and he (Referee) came to his rescue.”

The sleek boxer added “A similar incident happened the last time I fought here, do you want me to kill someone? I am throwing the challenge, whoever thinks he is strong should meet me in the ring.”

He dominated in his title defense against the Argentine opponent, Fernando Saucedo, from start till referee Roger Barnor stopped the bout in round ten and awarded a Technical Knockout win in the Ghanaian’s favour.

The decision sparked murmurings and argument from the packed crowd at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday night.

But an inquiry into the referee’s decision from  a well resourced technical department has justified the referee’s decision – stopping the fight due to the fact that Saucedo’s corner rushed to their boxer’s rescue when he went on the canvas.

The well-attended IBO Lightweight World title bout was sponsored by Menzgold and received support from Glico General, Joy Daddy, Run Energy Drink, Paradise Pac Mineral Water, Jet Links and DSTV.

Tagoe takes his impeccable fight record to 28 without a defeat.
