Ampem Darkoa Ladies in joyous mood after winning the championship
Management of the Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited have pledged their commitment to supporting women football league in the country.
According to Brand Manager for Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Frank Foli, the brand is ready to invest into women’s football as a way of encouraging more ladies into the sport.
Speaking to teammates of both Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies after the Malta Guinness Premiere League, he applauded the teams for their dedication throughout the season.
He highlighted how the league continues to inspire young girls across the country, proving that with determination, teamwork, and the right support, women’s football in the country will keep reaching new heights.
“Through its partnership with the Women’s Premier League, Malta Guinness continues to champion gender equality, confidence, strength, and excellence both on and off the pitch. The brand’s consistent support has helped elevate visibility for the women’s game and provided a platform for players to shine,” he said.
Mr. Foli further added that for the fourth consecutive year, Malta Guinness proudly stood as the official sponsor of the Women’s Premier League, backing the league with the same vim and belief that defines the players on the pitch.

The Ampem Darkoa Ladies clinched their 5th Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title by defeating Hasaacas Ladies 2–1 in a comeback victory at the Swedru Stadium in the Central Region.
