Mapitso Sebidi
Joy Entertainment’s Mapitso Sebidi has been named as a host of the red carpet session of the 2021 edition of the music and fashion show dubbed, “Rhythms on the Runway” which is on the theme, “The Masquerade.”
Though many names of female celebrities came up, yet organisers of the event settled on the television personality as the official host for the red carpet session.
Mapitso Sebidi is the host of a social media review show, JoyNews Interactive which airs every weekday 11:00 am-11:30 am on the JoyNews channel. She doubles as a news anchor on the same channel.
This year’s edition of the event which will be held on December 4, 2021, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) is on the theme: “The Masquerade,” to promote the wearing of face masks to curb the spread of COVID-19.
This year’s edition will feature top designers such as Senyo Foli, Katie O, Details by Neyomi, MUDI, Jesu Segun, Nadrey Laurent, Pernia Couture, Nineteen57, Gloria Sarfo, and Attoh Andoh whose works will be showcased.
The event, which is expected to attract a large number of stakeholders, including local and international artistes will witnessed performances of local acts such as Efya, Afriyie, Sefa, Edem, Adina, Fameye, Miss Floewe from South Africa, Shatta Wale, Michael Stuckey from the USA among others.
MCs for the event will be Joselyn Dumas and Sika Osei, with a special presentation by Nathaniel Attoh.
The 2021 Rhythms on the Runway is the 9th edition organised by KOD’s Nineteen57 Event.
