Nemanja Matic and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Nemanja Matic has denied he has a problem with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Serbia international liked a comment on Instagram which read, “Matic If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t want to feature you in his team please leave the team, I think that man is myopic that he doesn’t know he needs you in the midfield. I am beginning to hate Ole.”
The Red Devils midfielder has only played 22 minutes this season, having come off the bench in United’s 1-1 draw to Southampton last weekend.
He was an unused substitute for the first three league games of the campaign.
Matic insists there is not a problem with Solskjaer, however.
The 31-year-old told Goal, “I work as hard as I can, we respect the decision, it is mine to show him that he was wrong and to bring me back to where I belong.
There is no problem. I told him I disagreed with him, but that he had to decide the team.
“I have been in football for a long time, I have played almost all the games for all the clubs in the last 10 years.
“In order for me to play, one had to sit on the bench and accept that fact, and so do I now.
“The coach must opt for the team that will fight for the title, and if he does not win, he bears the responsibility.”
