The minister,(with hands stretched) and team explaining a point to the contractor at the Ho centre.
Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Kwame Asiamah on Saturday inspected the Ho Youth Multipurpose Resource Centre of Excellence in the Volta Region.
The Minister said government is not owing any of the ten contractors tasked to construct the sports facilities.
He therefore, charged the contractor to expedite action on the project.
He said “We are grateful to the President for his efforts in making everything smooth in terms of cash delivery etc. The President’s earlier visit here at the Ho stadium is a clear indication that he is monitoring our good works and activities.”
Meanwhile, the minister has invited all the contractors to an emergency meeting on Wednesday at his office in Accra. The agenda for the meeting is unknown for now.
The minister also confirmed there will be sod-cutting ceremonies for the six newly created regions early next year for works to begin.
The construction of the project is in fulfillment of government’s pledge to provide the youth with fully resourced and equipped facilities across the nation to promote their comprehensive development and empowerment.
