‘Miss Ghana Has Made Me A Better Woman’

Nana Ama Benson

Nana Ama Benson, Miss Ghana 2018 winner, says she hasn’t regretted taking part in the mother of all pageants in Ghana and subsequently winning the crown.

She revealed that joining the Miss Ghana brand has been one of the best experiences of her life so far and it has also helped shaped her into a better woman.

“Miss Ghana has been a life-changing experience. It has given me a lot of opportunities which under normal circumstances I wouldn’t have. It has added value to me in so many ways, including how to present myself in public,” she said.

Nana Ama, who was speaking in an interview with NEWS-ONE, explained how the journey to become a queen was challenging.

However, she availed herself to learn, and now it’s all fun for her.

“Going to Miss World to represent Ghana was one of the fun moments for me. There were a lot of other contestants from the around the world and I had the opportunity to tell them about my country. It was an adventurous experience too because some I made friends with people out there who I don’t even speak the same language with. You will wonder how we communicate,” she added.

Miss Ghana 2019 has recently been launched to pave way for the crowning of a new queen. Auditioning event is expected to take place in May 2019 ahead of the main Miss Ghana 2019 event later this year.

Nana Ama has advised ‘wannabe’ queens to come on board the Miss Ghana brand because they genuinely want to impact the lives of others and not just to cruise in Miss Ghana cars and wear the crown.
