‘Most Churches Gone Wayward’

Rev. Fred B. Dadson

THE GHANA Evangelical Society, a pro-Christian group, has revealed that churches in Ghana have gone astray in the discharge of their God-given mandate, and therefore, God is displeased with them.

The group, at a presser addressed by its leader, Rev. Fred B. Dadson in Accra, claimed that God, in a revelation during their service on March 6 this year, accused the church of forsaking her position and going after gods; and called on church leaders to lead their congregants to repentance.

“According to the Lord, the Church has forsaken her position, and gone after other gods. The lamentation of the Most High God is that the Church has gone wayward, and has departed from her course.

“Accordingly, the Lord God Jehovah is sounding the clarion call that the Church shall forsake the things of the world to embrace the Cross of Christ, and carry the Cross of suffering, reproach and shame,” insisted Rev. Dadson.

He said, God’s message for Christians and the church is that, the Church should return to Him, Jehovah God; embrace, preach and exalt the Cross, for the Church is His [God’s] inheritance; and that the Church should speak with one voice, and the people of the nation shall hear.

He added that the Church was built upon Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church, and that if the Church shall reckon that He the Lord is the foundation, He shall exalt the horn of the Church, and the Church shall flourish in the land.

He also admonished the Church to ensure that “the Word of God is established in the courts of the Church, and the nation that men shall know that indeed Jesus alone is the only Saviour, the soon coming King whose reward is with Him.”

Rev. Dadson gave the assurance that if the Church would “return unto her God, her sins confessing, He the Lord will in no wise cast [her] out,” thereby calling all to repentance.
