MP Constructs Astro Turf

Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has facilitated the construction of a new Astro Turf pitch in his constituency.

The modern project will be situated at the Apenkwa School Park, and it is intended to help promote sporting activities among the youth in the constituency.

Mr. Boamah, who is also the Deputy Minister of Water & Sanitation, is constructing the facility with support from the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

The lawmaker, who is described by his constituents as hard working and development-oriented leader, has intentions of constructing more Astro turfs in his constituency.

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu and the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dominic Eduah, were present during the sod-cutting ceremony.

Patrick Boamah wholeheartedly commended the GNPC for always rendering a helping a hand to the constituency, especially whenever the need arises.

He stated that he has plans of constructing more Astro Turfs in other electoral areas in the constituency, urging the GNPC to continue to support his projects.

According to him, it is his wish to unearth more sporting talents in the constituency, hence his firm decision to construct more Astro Turfs in the constituency.

Mr. Boamah lauded Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and cut the sod for the Astro Turf project to commence.
