Mr. Stickz, a versatile individual known for his multifaceted talents as a serial entrepreneur, Afrobeat musical artist, beauty consultant, and businessman, has resurfaced in the music industry with his latest single, “ODO.”
Having previously ventured into the realms of fashion and beauty while establishing himself as an entrepreneur in product manufacturing, distribution, and sales, Mr. Stickz’s portfolio now includes a wide range of products from hair care to household cleaning agents.
In addition, he founded the highly sought-after hair styling service “Stickz Beauty Plug,” where he imparts knowledge and mentorship to countless youths in Ghana.
When asked about his return to music after focusing on other career paths, Mr. Stickz expressed his belief in the timing of life. After a period of self-discovery across various fields, he couldn’t ignore his God-given talent for music, which had been on the backburner for a decade.
Reflecting on his shift from music to the beauty industry, Mr. Stickz described it as one of the best decisions he made 19 years ago during his school days. Becoming a beautician opened doors and created numerous opportunities.
He explained, “Life is not a bed of roses for some of us, the system and the economy has never been fair to an African child; hence we have to find a way out and create or learn something that can sustain us.
The beauty world did it for me and also allowed me to implement my intellectual expertise in turning it into a sustainable and lucrative business it is today.”
Mr. Stickz’s new single, “ODO,” a Ghanaian term for “love,” showcases his linguistic versatility by employing the Twi language instead of Yoruba or Swahili. He values cultural exploration, the learning of new languages, and embracing different African cultures, considering himself a Pan-Africanist.
For music enthusiasts worldwide, “ODO” promises an exhilarating masterpiece that provides a sense of reassurance and ecstasy, even in moments of despair. Mr. Stickz’s name is gaining recognition in the Afrobeat scene across Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and beyond, and “ODO” is now available on various digital platforms, including Boomplay, Tidal, Apple Music, and Spotify.
