Kumasi football ace, Mujeeb Abdul Hakeem, has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Radio Kejetia.
The community media house promotes girl rights (Kayayei advocacy) and women advancement and protection in Ghana.
The playmaker is highly adored, having entertained Ashanti Region over the years with his amazing football skills.
Eloquent in Twi and Hausa, the renowned player would use his bilingual local language skills to sensitise the public against all forms of violence against women.
Speaking at the radio studio, located at the Kejetia Market, foremost trading hub in the Kumasi Metropolis, Hakeem appealed to men saying, “I implore you to desist from assaulting women or your partners, but rather treat them with all the love that they deserve.”
Popularly known as Mujeeb Maestro, the midfielder was part of the two-time African champions (Asante Kotoko) to win two Premier League titles in 2012/13 and 2013/2014.
The founder of Radio Kejetia, Yahaya Alhassan, expressed thanks to Mujeeb for accepting what he referred to as a humanitarian offer for the voiceless.
