Musician Yaw Sarpong Hits Jackpot

Yaw Sarpong with Nana Kobo and Aisha Modi

Business mogul, Nana Kobo, has made a donation of a brand new Toyota Rav4 vehicle to veteran gospel singer and composer Yaw Sarpong.

He made the donation during the launch of Yaw Sarpong’s latest single ‘Aseda’, on Thursday night.

The single features celebrated Ghanaian hitmaker Kwaku Gyasi, and was an appreciation to God for saving him and his crew during an accident on the Accra to Kumasi highway.

It would be recalled that last year, the veteran musician had a ghastly accident that nearly cost him his life, with his car somersaulting several times and rendering the car unrecognizable.

Nana Kobo seized the opportunity to urge Yaw Sarpong to forget the past and concentrate on his new persona and continue producing his good genre of music

for Ghana since there is more in him which is yet to come out.

Nana Kobo appealed to the Chief Executive Officer of the Despite Media Group, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and his business partners Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong and Fadda Dickson to aid the celebrated musician.

According to Nana Kobo, the veteran musician has contributed a lot to the well-being of Ghanaians through music, so there is the need to support and honour him whilst he is alive.

Looking at the numerous contributions of the musician in the industry, he thinks the musician has been underrated for far too long. The new album Yaw Sarpong has launched, he said, must be held in high esteem.

Yaw Sarpong recounted how God brought the business mogul, Nana Kobo into his life, as he prayed for long life for him.

According to him, Nana Kobo is one of a kind, and appreciated his good heart and zeal to help him.

Nana Kobo is the musician’s manager and executive producer.

The event was well attended.
