NAPO Organises Medical Screening

Napo monitoring the health screening exercise

The health status of residents of the Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi has been boosted following Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s intervention.

The free health screening, which was organised by Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and the George Fox University School of Physical Therapy, Portland Oregon, US, gave residents a thorough medical check-up.

The 15-member team led by Prof Jeff Houck carried out the free medical screening at Abbey’s Park, Ash Town and Dunwell Methodist Church, Dichemso.

In an interview with the media, the MP said Ghana can only be developed properly when its citizenry are healthy and strong, hence the health screening exercise.

He further stated that he would work to ensure that the health screening exercise would become an annual affair in his constituency to help his constituents.

“Health is wealth,” Napo stated, admonishing Ghanaians to take good care of themselves so that they would remain strong and healthy at all times in order to contribute their quota towards national development.

Again, he advised his constituents to always exercise their bodies regularly, eat properly, shun too much alcohol and red meat, so that they would not fall sick easily.

“Sometimes you should also fast to clean your system,” Napo stated, adding that the health status of the people should not be toyed with.
