Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended eight of its members in the Bolgatanga East Constituency in the Upper East Region from the party.
The eight included some executives and other leading members who have been accused of working and acting contrary to the constitution of the party.
The Bolgatanga East Constituency Communications Officer of the party, Ibrahim Aneribazanga, confirmed the suspension of the eight persons from the party.
He did not tell the media the reasons for the suspension of the party executives and members, until the party deems it right to tell the public.
However, the DAILY GUIDE has gathered that the eight persons were found guilty of campaigning against the National Democratic Congress’ 2020 Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine.
They accused them of rather supporting the New Patriotic Party’s candidate, Reverend Emmanuel Abole in the 2020 Parliamentary Election.
Mr. Aneribazanga said the suspension takes effect from the day they received their suspension letters.
The NDC has won all elections in the Bolgatanga East Constituency since the constituency was created in 2012, and Dr. Ayine has been the only MP since 2012.
