NDC Youth Organiser Aspirant Killed In Accident

The Amenfi East Constituency deputy youth organizer aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region has died after he was allegedly knocked down by a vehicle.

Reports have it that the deceased, Maclean Jacob Asaah, died on the spot after he was knocked down by the vehicle when returning from his campaign on a motorbike.

According to sources, the deceased was on the motorbike with another party member and a ward coordinator who is currently in critical condition.

The Western Region Communications Director of the NDC, Richard Kirk Mensah, who confirmed the sad news to journalists indicated that the deputy youth organizer aspirant died on the spot after a car knocked him down.

“The deceased was on a motorbike with another party member and they were returning from a campaign when the unfortunate incident happened on Sunday”, he indicated.

It would be recalled that the election of constituency officers of the NDC in the Amenfi East Constituency was put on hold due to internal party issues.

The party after resolving the issues therefore decided to organize the election on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Meanwhile, DAILY GUIDE gathered that the constituency elections went on yesterday as planned but the election of the constituency youth organizer and deputy was postponed until further notice.
