Save The Nation For Future Leaders, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has appealed to both the Russian and American leaders to consider supporting Ghana to protect her environment.

In separate letters to the two leaders, delivered to their respective embassies and copied to President John Mahama, Kwadwo Atta Apeakorang, President and Founder of the NGO which is dedicated to building a cleaner, greener, and more habitable Ghanaian ecosystem, stated that “we believe the greatest and most urgent battle for humanity is the one against environmental degradation.”

Continuing, he said that “from deforestation to water pollution, Ghana, like many nations, is experiencing the adverse effects of unsustainable practices. These threaten not only our ecosystems but also the livelihoods of millions.”

At this critical time, he said, “Ghana requires your assistance to focus on environmental sustainability. Your influence and global voice could play a significant role in mobilising action, resources, and partnerships for this cause.” Ghana, he went on, “particularly needs your support to strengthen initiatives toward reforestation, clean energy, and responsible mining practices.”
