Nii Okai Holds Concert In September

Ghanaian gospel musician and Pastor, Nii Okai, will hold a musical concert on September 17, 2023at the ICGC Zoe Temple in Tema to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his hit album titled “Moko Be”.

The gospel artiste made this known during a press conference held at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra, which was attended by gospel music industry stakeholders, among others.

The concert,BEATWAVES gathered, will feature award-winning gospel performers like Joe Mettle, KODA, Eugene Zuta, MOGmusic, Kofi Karikari, Naa Mercy, David Osabutey, Lordina the Soprano and a host others.

Known for their touching and passionate worship songs, the gospel artistes are expected to lead a night of praise, powerful music and a ministration concert.

Nii Okai, who is the headline act, will be performing alongside other award-winning gospel musicians who have made a lot of impact on the local music scene.

Speaking at the launch, Nii Okai recalled certain special occasions that distinguished the early years of Ghana’s contemporary gospel music and discussed plans for a 20th anniversary commemoration of his legendary debut album, “Moko Be.”

“Moko Be is a collective of musicians, producers, vocalists, volunteers, and partners who have and continue to believe in the work that the Lord has called us to do and who are committed to using their contemporary gospel music to proclaim His sovereignty,” he stated.

Nii continued, “I am humbled to have raised numerous talented minstrels who are today sweeping the globe with their music, and I’m delighted to share the stage with them come September 17 in Tema where it all began.”
