Officials of Nordea Capital display their plaque at the awards
Nordea Capital Ltd was adjudged the 8th best company at the 16th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards ceremony organized by Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in Accra.
Nordea also emerged winner in the category of the “Best New Entrant Company” and the “Fastest Growing Company.’
This year’s edition was under the theme; “Industrialization; a tool for job creation and accelerated economic Development.”
In an address, Yaw Osafo Maafo, Senior Minister, who represented the President, said initiatives introduced by government this year had stabilised the economy and increased the business confidence in the country which was previously low.
Mr Maafo also charged the private sector to play its part in the country’s development efforts through the payment of taxes to enable the government, in turn, create the needed environment for them.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIPC, Yofi Grant, in a welcome address, noted that running a business in the country required extra effort and praised companies who made it to the top 100 for their tenacity.
He said government, through a number of reforms, had put the economy onto a stable sustainable irreversible track for growth, adding that GIPC would continue to introduce more innovations to accelerate the growth of businesses.
Since inception, Nordea has been actively managing portfolios for several corporate and individual clients in Ghana and abroad as well as providing in-depth equity research of the Ghana Stock Exchange and other markets across the African continent.

Head of Asset Management at Nordea Capital won the “Best Female Wealth Management Professional” Award at the 3rd Feminine Achievement Awards 2017, which recently took place in Accra.
