Members of the various committees at the event

The Vice-President and flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Wednesday, Februaury 28, 2024, inaugurated his campaign team and campaign sub-commitees ahead of the December 7 general elections.

The campaign team is chaired by the immediate past Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Dan Kwaku Botwe, and immediate Majority leader in Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu serving as the chairman of the Manifesto Committee.

According to the Vice-President membership of the committee were drawn from various parts of the country with all party executives to be involved in the campaign.

According to him, records indicated that the NPP with a clearer vision has performed better than the NDC with a blurred vision that goes about promising things the NPP has already done.

“They want to do free WiFi in senior high schools (SHSs); someone should tell them it has already been done. A little research and they would’ve known that they are promising things we have already done,” Dr. Bawumia said.

“So you can see that we have the best message, we have the vision and we have the record. I can’t see one sector where they have outperformed us when I listened to the President yesterday,” he added.

Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, former majority leader, for his part urged the party members to support them as they work towards developing the manifesto which would help the party win the December 7 elections.

The chairman of the Campaign team, Dan Botwe said “We are going to use all resources within the party to make sure that we achieve our objective”.

He said the campaign team consist of accomplished individuals including the sitting President who would help the party achieve its intended objective of transforming the country.
