NPP Praises God For Successful Confab

President Akufo-Addo with Vice President Bawumia and the newly elected NPP executives at the thanksgiving service on Sunday

THE Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday joined the congregation of Jesus Temple of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Koforidua in the Eastern Region to fellowship and give thanks to the Almighty God for having a successful conference.

President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the newly elected national executives, some government officials and some of the delegates stormed the venue for church service.

Stephen Ayesu Ntim, who has contested the national chairmanship position of the NPP four times, was conspicuously missing at the party’s thanksgiving service.

President Akufo-Addo expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for showing love for and mercy on the ruling party for having a successful and peaceful event.

Mr. Freddie Worsemawu Blay on Sunday dawn chalked up victory by beating the four-time contender, Stephen Ntim. He polled 3,021 votes as against Ntim’s 2,515 votes to win the national chairmanship position.

Rita Talata Asobayire, a former National Women’s Organiser polled 3,670 votes to become the First National Vice-Chair of the NPP while Frederick Fredua Antoh polled 3,185 votes to become the Second Vice-Chairman.

Michael Kwasi Omari-Wadie completed the list by winning the Third National Vice-Chairman position by polling 3,028 votes.

John Boadu, became the General Secretary with 4,277 votes while Sammi Awuku polled 4,913 to become the National Organizer.
