NPP Primaries: Krobos Pledge Support For Bawumia

 

In a show of growing support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the twin Eastern Region Constituencies of Lower Manya Krobo and Upper Manya Krobo turned out in large numbers on Monday to offer their enthusiastic support for his bid to become the party’s flagbearer.

The delegates gathered at Agomanya and Asesewa, where they welcomed Dr. Bawumia with open arms, giving him rousing reception. The warm welcome was a clear indication of the momentum that Dr. Bawumia has been building within the party ahead of the NPP primaries.

During the gatherings, party members expressed their unwavering support for Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and his vision for the party and the country. They praised his dedication to the NPP and his impressive track record as Vice President, highlighting his contributions to the government’s successes and his commitment to delivering on the party’s promises.

Speaking at the event, a delegate from Lower Manya Krobo said, “Dr. Bawumia has shown exceptional leadership qualities during his tenure as Vice President. He has been instrumental in the implementation of key policies that have positively impacted the lives of Ghanaians. We believe that he is the right candidate to lead the NPP and continue the good work of President Akufo-Addo.”

The sentiment was echoed by delegates from Upper Manya Krobo, who emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s ability to connect with the grassroots and his dedication to addressing the needs of the people. They commended his efforts in promoting inclusivity and driving economic growth in the region.

The overwhelming support from Lower Manya Krobo and Upper Manya Krobo is a significant boost for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign.
It showcases his growing popularity and indicates that he is emerging as a frontrunner in the race for the NPP flagbearer position.

The Constituency Chairman for Lower Manya Krobo, Emmanuel Nuertey Siakwa, praised Bawumia’s leadership skills and acknowledged the involvement of one of their own in the NPP race but stated that all analysis conducted point to Bawumia as the only one, among the 10 aspirants, who can lead the NPP to victory. Similarly, the Upper Manya Constituency Chairman also offered their support and praised Bawumia’s close relationship with his constituency.
Earlier in the day, Bawumia started the second day of his Eastern Regional tour in Asuogyaman, where he received a warm reception.

The NPP primaries, scheduled to take place in the coming months, will be a crucial contest for party members to choose their candidate for the upcoming general elections. With the endorsement from Lower Manya Krobo and Upper Manya Krobo, Dr. Bawumia has strengthened his position and demonstrated that he has a strong base of support within the party.
