NPP Suspends Nalerigu-Gambaga Parliamentary Aspirant

The New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the North East Region has suspended an aspiring parliamentary candidate in the Nalerigu-Gambaga constituency , Peter Wuni Baga with immediate effect.

The suspension letter signed by the Regional Chairman Fuseini Nurudeen and sighted by DGN Online, read” I regret to inform you that your membership of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has been suspended pending the outcome of investigation of alleged misconduct against you and subsequent to your appearance before the Regional Disciplinary Committee of he party.”

The letter further stated that the suspension has been necessitated by certain utterances the aspirant made during a radio program at Tizaa FM, a local radio station based in Nalerigu on May 12,2020.

“ your utterances were in breach of Article 4(7) of the NPP constitution and the general guidelines governing the parliamentary primaries issued by the General secretary of the party. The Regional Chairman as well as the Regional Executive Committee are in possession of the recorded tape last of her program and are compelled to initiate disciplinary action against you.”

The suspension letter categorically stated that the parliamentary aspirant has been suspended until the investigations of misconduct against him are completed.

The party advised the parliamentary aspirant to cease all campaign activities and cooperate with the Disciplinary Committee of the party for a resolution of the matter.
