Ofori Amponsah and Joyce Blessing are set to perform at the second edition of the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) at the National Theatre in Accra.

The award ceremony, which will also witness a performance from afro-pop artiste, Cina Soul, will be giving Ghanaians the best of afro-pop music and will confer honours on Ghanaian women who have impacted the growth of the country in areas such as politics, health, education, sports and entertainment.

Tiisha, Araya Afrika and OBkay have also been billed to perform at the awards ceremony slated for November 7.

The awards promises lots of fun and exciting moments; with some high level dignitaries expected to grace the occasion.

Anita Akuffo and Peter Richie would be the hosts on the awards night.

According to ASKOF Productions, organisers of the event, said tickets for the event were finally out on sale to the general public, adding that they have limited tickets available.

GOWA’s president, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, said patrons can visit the offices of GOWA Secretariat, Airport Shell and other shopping malls in Accra to purchase the tickets – selling at GH¢50 standard and GH¢100, VIP, with packages from sponsors.

Nominees for the outstanding woman of the year category include Afia Amankwah Tamakloe, Velma Owusu-Bempah, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, Melissa Adarkwah and Tracy Boakye.

The woman in film award category would see the likes of Yvonne Nelson, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Selassie Ibrahim, Benedicta Gafah, Rabby Bray and Tracy Boakye, all vying for the accolade.

The likes of Nana Ama McBrown, Berla Mundi, Anne Kusi-Gyamfi, Regina Van-Helvet, Baciara Bentie Abigail and Martha Ankomah, have all received nominations for the brand influencer of the year category.

Sponsors of this year’s awards ceremony are Verna Mineral Water, Nasco Electronics, Nkulenu Industries, Rush Energy Drink, Tasty Tom, TT Brothers, Joy Industries, Ceejay Multimedia, Starnewsgh.com, Es_lily and Breakfast Boutique.
