Not guilty Plea
Five persons who have been accused of inserting their fingers into the private part of a 15-year-old girl and one of them having sex with her at Osu, have pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The five, variously charged with indecent assault, child pornography and defilement, appeared before the court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku for the second time.
The court has, however, fixed January 26 to hear the matter. Mr Jerry Avernorgbor, an Attorney represented them when the case was called in court on Friday.
The five including an 18-year old Senior High School student and four Junior High School students’ aged between 16 and 17 (juveniles) allegedly kissed and fondled the victim and also took video shots and posted same on social media.
The victim’s uncle, however, saw the video that went viral and confronted the victim.
The act came after a similar one at Kumasi Bantama in the Ashanti Region.
The accused person and the four juveniles were admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢10,000 with a surety each when they made their maiden appearance at the court without a counsel.
The court therefore advised parents of the teenagers to get legal representation in the matter.
