Over 700 Migrants Rescued

At least 700 migrants have reportedly been rescued off the coasts of Libya and Malta.

Reports say the migrants were removed from the Mediterranean off the coasts of Libya and Malta this weekend by rescue ships.

According to reports, 400 migrants were rescued from a vessel that was taking in water in the central Mediterranean.

Another 100 migrants were picked up off Malta, and at least four other boats were rescued, reports say.

The International Organization for Migration has earlier stated that over 900 people have died in 2021 alone while attempting to travel to Europe.
