Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) is complaining about some clients including passport applicants verbally assaulting its security personnel.

According to the High Commission in a statement dated September 2, 2020, there have been some unfortunate incidents at the Passport and Immigration Section situated at the Highgate Office.

It said the incidents include the increasing practice by some clients who insist on being attended to without appointment.

It added that the other incidents include “some clients verbally assaulting our security personnel and further insisting on entering the premises in the company of family and friends who do not have any business dealing with the High Commission.”

The High Commission is therefore warning “kindly note that per our strict covid policy, clients without appointments will not be attended to.”

It cautioned “furthermore, clients who refuse to comply with the directives of security personnel at post or engage in any verbal assaults or threats will not be allowed entry into the premises irrespective of having an appointment.”
