Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, celebrated his 77th birthday with profound reflections on manhood and women’s significance in society, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

In a candid statement, Edochie emphasised that men who resort to violence against women betray the essence of true manhood. “A house truly becomes a home only when a woman is present,” Edochie asserted, underlining the pivotal role women play in fostering harmony and warmth within families.

He added, “A woman’s strength lies not in physical power but in her words,” Edochie admonished men, warning that resorting to violence against in response to provocation strips away their claim to true manhood.

“A man capable of harmonious relations with a woman possesses the qualities of leadership,” he remarked, suggesting that such individuals have the potential to govern not only local communities but also entire nations.

In his wise words, Edochie highlighted the importance of respecting and cherishing women, serving as a timely reminder for society to uphold the dignity and rights of women everywhere.
