Nigerian Pastor, Peter Nwachukwu has been arrested over the death of his wife and popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Osinachi, 42, died last Friday at an Abuja hospital after she allegedly suffered from domestic violence from her husband.
Nigeria Police, according to several local news reports confirmed Peter’s arrest after the deceased brother reported him in a suspected case of homicide
According to The Vanguard newspaper, a lot of allegations of constant beatings and bullying by the husband emerged on social media after her death.
One of such allegations was that the lead singer at the Dunamis International Church was kicked in the chest.
Osinachi’s elder sister was reported to have also confirmed that the husband kicked her in the chest which led to her being taken to the hospital.
The Vanguard’s Police source indicated that police operatives, Sunday arrested Mr Nwachuku and that investigation has commenced into the singer’s death as a result of alleged domestic violence.
